Purpose of the Role
To carry out tiling and general maintenance works across housing properties, ensuring all repairs, refurbishment, and maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and to required quality standards. The role involves working independently or as part of a team, maintaining accurate records of work completed and materials used, and delivering excellent customer service to residents and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake tiling repairs, maintenance, and installation works across housing assets.
- Deliver high-quality workmanship in line with Asset Management standards and specifications.
- Operate vehicles, tools, plant, and equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain required licences, qualifications, and accreditations.
- Liaise with managers, administration staff, residents, and client officers regarding works orders and variations.
- Record completed work, materials used, and job outcomes accurately using handheld devices and IT systems.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels of materials and equipment.
- Conduct routine checks and minor maintenance of tools, plant, and equipment.
- Ensure security of vehicles, tools, and materials.
- Support colleagues and other trades to ensure repairs are completed within timescales and priorities.
- Comply with all Health and Safety legislation, safe working practices, and quality management procedures.
- Protect the welfare and safety of residents, colleagues, and the general public while carrying out works.
- Participate in training, team meetings, emergency call-outs, and continuous improvement activities.

- Knowledge of building maintenance and property repairs.
- Ability to use power tools, hand tools, and access equipment safely.
