Join our team as a Customer Service Representative for a 3-month contract with a local authority in Swindon. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality customer service through the Council’s inbound contact centre. You will play a crucial role in promoting a digital-first approach, guiding residents to access a wide range of services online while ensuring all inquiries are managed efficiently and professionally.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle inbound calls from residents, providing accurate and timely information.
  • Deliver a professional, friendly, and customer-focused service at all times.
  • Understand customer needs and provide appropriate solutions or guidance.
  • Encourage and support customers to access services online.
  • Promote digital self-service options to improve accessibility and efficiency.
  • Assist customers in navigating online systems and information.

Essential Experience:

  • Previous experience in a customer service or contact centre environment (desirable).
  • Experience handling inbound calls and dealing with customer inquiries.
  • Experience supporting customers with digital or online services (desirable).

Essential Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
  • Relevant customer service qualifications (desirable).

Additional Information:

  • Working hours: 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
  • Work arrangement: 3 days in the office and 2 days remote, with mandatory office presence on Tuesdays for team office day.
  • Interviews will be conducted in person at Civic Offices, Euclid Street, Swindon.
  • We operate on a bi-weekly schedule.
