This is an 8-month contract position with a local authority, aimed at leading the development and delivery of housing and accommodation projects across Adult Social Care, Children’s Services, Housing, and Health. The role is crucial in enhancing the availability of specialist accommodation for individuals with care and support needs, ensuring projects are executed from concept to implementation in alignment with strategic priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple housing development projects to ensure successful delivery.
  • Translate strategic objectives into clear project plans and actionable workstreams.
  • Monitor project progress, ensuring delivery against timelines, budgets, and outcomes.
  • Manage capital funding applications and associated reporting requirements.
  • Monitor and control project budgets to ensure effective financial management.
  • Support the preparation of business cases, options appraisals, and funding proposals.

Essential Experience Required

  • Significant experience in project management within housing, social care, or a related public sector environment.
  • Experience delivering complex, multi-agency projects.
  • Experience working across Adult Social Care, Children’s Services, Housing, or Health settings (desirable).
  • Strong experience in stakeholder engagement and partnership working.
  • Experience developing business cases, funding applications, and project reports.

Essential Qualifications Required

  • Relevant qualification in project management, housing, social care, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, APM) desirable.

Additional Information

  • Working hours: 36 hours per week.
  • DBS might be required.
  • We work on a bi-weekly schedule.
