The Senior Lift & Electrical Engineer is tasked with the operational management and delivery of mechanical and electrical (M&E) programs, focusing on lift and electrical compliance. This role is crucial in ensuring all projects are executed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with statutory and regulatory standards. The position involves managing contractors, overseeing projects, and providing technical expertise to deliver high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of lift and electrical compliance programs and projects from inception to completion.
  • Develop project plans, specifications, and tender documentation.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure delivery within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Produce feasibility studies, options appraisals, and technical reports.
  • Manage and monitor contractors delivering repairs, servicing, and maintenance contracts.
  • Audit contractor performance, ensuring compliance with specifications and statutory requirements.
  • Chair and attend progress meetings with contractors and consultants.
  • Ensure accurate certification and reporting is recorded in relevant systems.

Essential Experience Required:

  • Significant experience managing lift and electrical compliance contracts.
  • Proven track record in project and program management within M&E or building services.
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Strong experience in contractor and stakeholder management.

Essential Qualifications Required:

  • Relevant technical qualification in Lift or Electrical Engineering, such as:
    • Level 4 VRQ in Electrical Safety Management
    • Level 4 VRQ Diploma in Asset & Building Management Compliance
    • Level 3/4 Engineering Maintenance qualification or equivalent

  • Working hours: 40 hours per week
  • Location: Carshalton Road, Sutton, Greater London, SM1 4LE, United Kingdom
  • Work pattern: 2 days in office, 3 days remote
  • Bi-weekly schedule
