Job Summary:<\/b>

â ¢ Slough Borough Council is seeking an experienced Housing Support Business Lead to join the DDaT Core Management Team.
<\/div>
â ¢ This role will lead the Housing Applications & Systems function, with responsibility for the support, development and optimisation of the Councilâ s integrated housing management system (NEC) and associated business applications.
<\/div>
â ¢ The post holder will work closely with internal services and external suppliers to deliver effective, secure and data\-driven technology solutions that support housing and public protection services, while ensuring data integrity and continuous improvement.

Key Duties\/Accountabilities (Sample):<\/b>
<\/b>
<\/div>
â ¢ Lead and manage the Housing Applications & Systems team, providing day\-to\-day operational and strategic oversight.
<\/div>
â ¢ Act as a member of the DDaT Core Management Team, contributing to corporate digital and technology strategy.
<\/div>
â ¢ Be the primary point of contact for housing systems for internal stakeholders and external vendors.
<\/div>
â ¢ Manage and support the NEC integrated housing management system and related applications.
<\/div>
â ¢ Plan, oversee and assure technical development delivered by internal teams and third\-party suppliers.
<\/div>
â ¢ Maximise the use, configuration, development and data population of NEC across housing and public protection services.
<\/div>
â ¢ Ensure high\-quality system support for users, including incident resolution, enhancements and user engagement.
<\/div>
â ¢ Maintain data integrity, data quality and compliance with council policies and governance standards.
<\/div>
â ¢ Provide expert advice and make recommendations to senior managers on systems, applications and data issues.
<\/div>
â ¢ Work collaboratively with services, partners and stakeholders to deliver council priorities.
<\/div>
â ¢ Model and embed the Councilâ s values and behaviours, leading by example.
<\/div>
<\/div>
Skills\/Experience:<\/b>
<\/b>
<\/div>
â ¢ Proven experience leading housing systems or business applications within a local authority or public sector environment
<\/div>
â ¢ Strong working knowledge of NEC Housing \/ Integrated Housing Management Systems
<\/div>
â ¢ Experience managing application portfolios and complex business systems
<\/div>
â ¢ Demonstrable leadership and line management experience
<\/div>
â ¢ Experience working with external suppliers and vendor\-led development
<\/div>
â ¢ Strong stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior managers
<\/div>
â ¢ Experience overseeing system development, configuration and continuous improvement
<\/div>
â ¢ Strong understanding of data quality, data integrity and information governance
<\/div>
â ¢ Ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions
<\/div>
â ¢ Excellent communication, problem\-solving and decision\-making skills.
<\/div>
