This is a 3-month contract role with a local authority, aimed at leading the delivery of high-quality business intelligence, data analysis, and insights to support Adults and Housing services. The position ensures that senior leaders are equipped with accurate, timely, and meaningful data to drive decision-making, service improvement, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for all business intelligence, performance, and data-related matters within Adults and Housing services.
- Lead the development and delivery of data insights to support strategic decision-making, service transformation, and improvement programs.
- Provide senior leadership with high-quality analysis, reports, and intelligence to inform planning and operational performance.
- Lead on forecasting, demand modeling, and trend analysis to improve service planning and prioritization.
- Oversee and drive improvements in data quality, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability of information.
- Act as the lead for inspections and reviews, ensuring data readiness and supporting evidence-based reporting.
Requirements
Essential Experience Required
- Significant experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or performance management.
- Experience working in a complex environment, ideally within the public sector, Adult Social Care, or Housing services.
- Proven experience leading teams and managing staff performance.
Essential Qualifications Required
- Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as Data Analytics, Statistics, Business Intelligence, or similar.
- Strong technical skills in data analysis tools and reporting platforms (e.g., Power BI, SQL, Excel).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly and meaningfully.
Additional Information
- Working hours: 37 hours per week.
- Basic DBS required.
