Job Description

3 months contract with a Local Authority

Summary

  • This is a 3-month contract position with a school or local authority, offering an umbrella rate of £24.54 per hour. The role involves delivering high-quality, person-focused care and support to children and young people in a safe and nurturing residential home. You will collaborate with colleagues, families, and external professionals to foster positive outcomes, independence, well-being, and personal growth, while ensuring the safety and welfare of all children and young people.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver care and support tailored to individual care plans, placement plans, and risk assessments.
  • Assist children and young people with daily activities, personal care, education, social development, recreational activities, and independent living skills.
  • Foster positive behavior and emotional well-being through consistent support and guidance.
  • Encourage the development of confidence, resilience, self-esteem, and independence in young people.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children and young people in residential care, schools, pupil referral units (PRUs), supported accommodation, or other regulated care settings.
  • Experience supporting children and young people with emotional, behavioral, or complex needs.
  • QCF Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Enhanced DBS required.
