Summary
- The Maintenance Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the upkeep and safety of various external assets, such as garages, roads, forecourts, and surrounding environments. This position involves conducting property condition inspections, identifying defects, and producing detailed reports to facilitate effective maintenance and repair planning.
Responsibilities
- Conduct site inspections of external assets, including paved areas, brickwork, and infrastructure.
- Assess property conditions, identifying damage, deterioration, and maintenance requirements.
- Gather detailed evidence from inspections, including photographs and written notes.
- Prepare accurate and comprehensive Schedules of Condition.
- Carry out surveys using appropriate inspection techniques and methodologies.
- Compile findings into structured reports, spreadsheets, and documentation.
- Work independently during site visits and inspections.
- Liaise with office-based teams to support reporting, data management, and record keeping.
Requirements
- Experience:
- Experience in property maintenance, inspections, or surveying.
- Experience preparing reports and recording technical information accurately.
- Experience in property maintenance, inspections, or surveying.
- Qualifications:
- HNC/HND in Building Studies (or equivalent relevant experience).
- Practical understanding of:
- Health & Safety legislation (e.g., Health & Safety at Work Act).
- Surveying techniques and inspection processes.
- Property condition assessments.

Additional Information
- Working hours: 37 hours per week.
- Must be a driver to access sites.
- Work on a bi-weekly schedule.
