Umbrella - Β£16.00 per hour - umbrella
Job Purpose
As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment within a primary school. You will carry out daily cleaning duties across classrooms, toilets, and communal areas, ensuring high standards of cleanliness for pupils and staff.
Key Duties/Accountabilities
- Clean classrooms and teaching areas.
- Clean toilets and washroom facilities.
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
- Dust and sanitise surfaces.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Maintain hygiene standards throughout the school.
- Carry out deep cleaning during school holidays when required.
- Use cleaning equipment and materials safely.
- Follow Health & Safety procedures and cleaning schedules.
- Ensure all areas are clean, safe, and presentable.
Essential Experience Required
- Previous cleaning experience.
- Experience working in a school environment is desirable.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Understanding of cleaning procedures and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
Essential Qualifications Required
- Enhanced DBS.
- Right to Work in the UK.
Additional Information to Note
- Working Hours: 12.5 hours per week.
- Monday to Friday.
- Shift Pattern: 15:00 - 17:30.
- Term-time working with additional deep cleans during school holidays.
- Location: John Hunt Primary School, Newark
- Enhanced DBS required.
- We work on bi-weekly payment schedule.
