Job Description

3 Months Contract with a Local Authority

Job Purpose

As a Paralegal – Adults, you will provide legal support to the Adult Social Care Legal Team, assisting with case management, legal documentation, and administrative processes. You will work under the supervision of Senior Lawyers to help deliver an effective legal service.

Key Duties/Accountabilities

  • Provide paralegal support to the Adult Social Care Legal Team.
  • Assist with routine legal work under the supervision of Senior Lawyers.
  • Prepare legal documents and correspondence.
  • Manage case files and maintain accurate records.
  • Support team meetings, procedures, and legal administration.
  • Assist with Lexcel compliance and associated processes.
  • Undertake legal research as required.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders.
  • Support the management team with administrative duties.
  • Ensure work is completed in line with policies and procedures.

Essential Experience Required

  • Experience working as a Paralegal.
  • Local Authority legal experience within Adult Social Care and/or Children's Social Care is essential.
  • Experience supporting lawyers in a legal environment.
  • Knowledge of legal procedures and case management.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information.
  • Experience handling multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Collection of laptop required.
  • Attendance at one in-person meeting per month required.
  • Panel interview with 2 interviewers.
  • We work on bi-weekly payment schedule.
