- Summary
- This role is designed to provide an accurate, efficient, and compliant payroll and pensions administration service across the NCHA Group.
The position is crucial for maintaining payroll records and systems, processing payroll-related transactions, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, resolving complex payroll queries, and supporting financial reporting requirements.
The postholder will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support payroll system development to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain payroll and pension records, ensuring all employee data is accurate, complete, and up to date.
- Process payroll transactions, including salary amendments, statutory payments, employee expenses, deductions, and pension contributions within agreed deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with PAYE, National Insurance, statutory payments, pension legislation, and other payroll-related regulations.
- Process payroll changes in line with current statutory requirements and organizational procedures.
- Maintain and administer computerized payroll systems, preferably i Trent, ensuring data integrity and system accuracy.
- Support payroll system enhancements, testing, upgrades, and process improvements.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of payroll procedure manuals and operational guidance.
Requirements
Essential Experience Required
- Significant experience working within a payroll environment.
- Extensive experience using computerized payroll systems.
- Experience in processing payroll transactions and maintaining payroll records.
- Experience dealing with complex payroll and pension queries.
Essential Qualifications Required
- Diploma in Payroll Management (NVQ Level 4) or equivalent professional payroll qualification.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
- Additional Information
- Working hours: 35 hours per week.
- Location: Clifton Place, 9 Fairham Brook Drive, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, NG11 8PY, United Kingdom.
- Work pattern: 3 days remote, 2 days in the office.
- Bi-weekly schedule.
