This role is integral to supporting the delivery of high-profile housing regeneration schemes on council-owned land. The position involves close collaboration with contractors, development partners, and internal teams. It is a key component of Hackney’s ambitious Housing Regeneration & Delivery Programme, contributing to the creation of well-designed, sustainable, and community-focused affordable homes.
Responsibilities:
- Support, develop, and deliver housing regeneration projects and programmes across specific sites.
- Manage various elements of the regeneration process, including design development, planning, procurement, construction oversight, and project completion.
- Secure external funding to support regeneration delivery.
- Collaborate with residents, Tenants’ & Residents’ Associations, Resident Steering Groups, developers, community organizations, local businesses, and internal teams to maximize regeneration opportunities and social inclusion.
Essential Experience Required:
- Experience in housing delivery, development, regeneration, or related property fields.
- Proven track record in steering regeneration schemes through development stages such as design, planning, appraisals, procurement, construction, and handover.
- Strong skills in stakeholder engagement, consultation, and partnership working.
- Experience in producing reports, briefings, and presenting to diverse audiences, including elected members.
Essential Qualifications Required:
- A recognized qualification in Construction, Planning, Regeneration, Architecture/Design, Development, or Property.
- A project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, APM).
Additional Information:
- Pay rate negotiable: £254-£286 pd Umbrella.
- Please note, we work on bi-weekly payments.
