3 Months contract with a Local Authority.

Job Purpose: To provide effective tenancy sustainment support to clients within the Private Rented Sector, helping to prevent homelessness and promote long-term housing stability. The role focuses on early intervention, ongoing client engagement, and proactive partnership working to ensure successful tenancy outcomes.

Key Duties/Accountabilities:

  • Provide ongoing support to clients who have secured accommodation in the Private Rented Sector.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups (e.g., 3- and 6-month check-ins) to review tenancy progress and wellbeing.
  • Reinforce skills and knowledge gained during initial housing support.
  • Encourage independence and self-management while remaining accessible for support.
  • Identify early signs of tenancy breakdown or risk of homelessness.
  • Take proactive steps to prevent repeat homelessness presentations.
  • Address issues such as rent arrears, anti-social behaviour (ASB), or vulnerabilities promptly.
  • Develop and adjust support plans where circumstances change.

Essential Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in tenancy sustainment or housing support roles.
  • Experience supporting clients within the Private Rented Sector.
  • Strong background in preventing homelessness and managing complex cases.

Essential Qualifications Required:

  • Relevant qualification in Housing, Social Work, or a related field (desirable).
  • Enhanced DBS check (Adults and Children) required.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.

Additional Information:

  • Must have own transport, as it is needed for the role.

  • We work on a bi-weekly schedule.
