Job Purpose
To provide a high-quality responsive repairs and maintenance service to council-owned residential properties across Charnwood. The post holder will undertake plumbing repairs, maintenance, and installation work, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of workmanship. Key Responsibilities
- Plumbing Repairs and Maintenance
- Carry out reactive plumbing repairs and maintenance within council tenanted properties.
- Diagnose faults and identify appropriate repair solutions.
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, and fittings.
- Repair leaks, pipes, taps, toilets, sinks, baths, showers, and drainage systems.
- Complete work to a high standard, ensuring quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
- Customer Service
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with tenants.
- Communicate effectively with residents regarding repairs, work progress, and completion.
- Work respectfully within occupied properties, minimising disruption to tenants.
