  • This role is a strategic position aimed at enhancing the performance and effectiveness of schools within Lambeth, with a particular focus on maintained schools.

The successful candidate will spearhead school improvement efforts, collaborating with headteachers, governors, school leaders, and other stakeholders to elevate educational standards, bolster leadership capabilities, and improve outcomes for all students.

The position requires a proactive approach to engaging with academies and trusts, ensuring a cohesive educational strategy across the borough.

Responsibilities

  • Play a pivotal role in achieving Lambeth's educational priorities and strategic goals.
  • Design and execute school improvement strategies to elevate standards, enhance outcomes, and close achievement gaps.
  • Stay informed about national education policies, legislation, inspection frameworks, and best practices to keep the borough's improvement initiatives innovative and responsive.
  • Identify and develop new opportunities for service development, commissioned activities, grants, and partnership projects that enhance educational outcomes.

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within the education sector.
  • Background as a Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher, Executive Leader, School Improvement Partner, Adviser, or similar position.
  • Demonstrated success in improving educational outcomes across multiple schools or educational settings.
  • Experience in supporting schools through inspection, monitoring, improvement, or intervention processes.

Essential Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Evidence of continuous professional development in areas such as school improvement, leadership, safeguarding, or educational effectiveness.
  • Extensive leadership experience within the education field.

  • Contract Duration: 3 months with a local authority
  • Enhanced DBS required
  • Rate: £450 to £500 per day (Umbrella)
  • Working Hours: 35 hours per week
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Location: 6 Brixton Hill, London, Lambeth, SW2 1RW, United Kingdom
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid, with 2-3 days in schools
