The Resourcing and Talent Acquisition Support Officer plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive administrative coordination and support to the Council’s Resourcing and Talent Acquisition function.

This position is integral to managing the full recruitment lifecycle for both permanent and agency hires, ensuring processes run smoothly and efficiently.

The role involves maintaining oversight of systems, tracking recruitment activities, and supporting stakeholders to meet deadlines.

Additionally, the officer will monitor data, enhance service delivery, and ensure a high-quality experience for hiring managers and candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support across the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Resourcing & Talent Acquisition Advisors to support attraction and selection processes.
  • Liaise with advertising partners and external suppliers to manage recruitment campaigns.
  • Track recruitment activity, ensuring deadlines are met and stakeholders are informed.
  • Maintain and update the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and recruitment systems.
  • Support the organisation of interviews, assessments, and onboarding processes.
  • Engage with candidates to ensure a positive and informed recruitment experience.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment records and generate reports on key metrics.
  • Support training events, job fairs, and diversity & inclusion initiatives.
  • Upload and maintain recruitment content on internal systems (e. g., intranet).
  • Monitor redeployment activity and elevate where necessary.
  • Provide administrative support for meetings, workshops, and communications.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed with a focus on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Experience Required

  • Experience in an administrative or business support role.
  • Experience supporting recruitment or HR functions.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) or HR systems (e. g., Oracle).
  • Experience supporting customer-focused services.
  • Experience in screening or shortlisting candidates (desirable).
  • Previous local authority/public sector experience (desirable).
