3 months contract Role with a local authority

The Team Manager will lead the Barnet Domestic Abuse Safety Hub (BDASH), ensuring the effective delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed support services for survivors of domestic abuse. This role is crucial for overseeing day-to-day operations, managing a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring compliance with contractual, statutory, and organizational requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the delivery of BDASH services, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, council expectations, and quality standards.
  • Ensure provision of inclusive, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed support to survivors.
  • Identify, manage, and elevate safeguarding concerns appropriately.
  • Develop and monitor team and individual work plans.
  • Manage contracts, partnership agreements, and referral pathways.
  • Produce and submit performance and monitoring reports, demonstrating outcomes and impact.
  • Provide strong leadership, supervision, and direction to a multidisciplinary team (e.g., IDVAs, DAIOs, specialists).
  • Conduct regular one-to-one supervision, case reviews, and team meetings.

Requirements

  • Significant experience working with vulnerable individuals, particularly survivors of domestic abuse.
  • Proven experience in managing or delivering advocacy and support services.
  • Experience in a regulated environment, including safeguarding, risk assessment, and case management systems.
  • Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification in supporting victims of domestic abuse (e.g., SafeLives IDVA accreditation).
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field such as Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or Mental Health.
  • Minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience in domestic abuse services.

  • Working hours: 36 hours per week.
  • Location: 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale, London, NW9 4EW, United Kingdom.
  • Enhanced DBS barred with child required.
  • Work pattern: Hybrid - to be agreed.
