Job Purpose
To deliver high-quality electrical repairs, maintenance, and compliance work across residential properties, ensuring homes are safe, compliant, and maintained to a high standard while providing an excellent service to residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical repairs, maintenance, inspections, testing, and surveys in line with current regulations and safety standards.
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently, aiming for a first-time fix.
- Complete work orders and reports accurately using mobile systems.
- Deliver work within agreed response times and quality expectations.
- Participate in emergency call-out and out-of-hours rota where required.
- Communicate professionally with residents, including vulnerable individuals.
- Support colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment, including mentoring where needed.
- Maintain tools, stock, and company vehicle responsibly.
- Promote and adhere to health & safety, compliance, and company values.
Requirements
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance or installation, ideally within housing or a similar environment.
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent) with AM2 / AM2E.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
- Inspection & Testing qualification (e.g. 2391 or 2395).
- Strong knowledge of building regulations, NICEIC standards, and health & safety legislation.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Willingness to participate in out-of-hours and emergency rotas.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Basic DBS check required.
