Job Description â Executive Support Officer

Location: 6 Brixton Hill, London, Lambeth, SW2 1RW, United Kingdom

Job Purpose

To provide a high-quality, professional executive support service to Directors and senior managers, ensuring the efficient coordination of daily operations. The role contributes to strategic priorities, project delivery, and stakeholder engagement while maintaining high standards of confidentiality and professionalism.


Key Responsibilities

Executive Support & Administration

  • Act as the primary point of contact for Directors and senior officers.
  • Manage complex diaries, schedules, and correspondence, prioritising effectively.
  • Respond to enquiries and referrals on behalf of senior managers.
  • Organise meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and monitor actions.
  • Produce high-quality reports, briefings, presentations, and documents.
  • Maintain electronic filing systems in line with council policies.

Project & Analytical Support

  • Support delivery of complex, high-profile projects.
  • Conduct research and data analysis to inform decision-making.
  • Prepare reports, discussion papers, and strategic briefings.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build relationships with internal teams, councillors, and external partners.
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion and political awareness.

Operational & Team Contribution

  • Work collaboratively within the Executive Support team.
  • Manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Contribute to cross-departmental initiatives and task groups.

Experience & Skills Required

Essential Experience

  • Experience providing executive/PA support in a busy environment.
  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritise under pressure.
  • Experience supporting projects.
  • Experience handling confidential and sensitive information.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of office management practices.
  • Awareness of complex organisations and public service values.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of document management systems and modern working practices.

Additional Information

  • Working Hours: 35 hours per week
  • Contract Type: Limited Company / Umbrella
  • Pay Rate: £30.96/ hour,umb
  • Working pattern: Onsite
  • We work on bi-weekly payment schedule.
