Responsibilities
- Operate a 7.5 tonne vehicle to deliver and collect waste and recycling bins.
- Load, unload, and position bins safely at customer or council properties.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and report defects promptly.
- Plan and follow delivery routes efficiently to meet schedules.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents and businesses.
- Ensure compliance with all driving regulations, including safe use of the vehicle.
- Handle manual lifting and movement of bins in line with health and safety guidelines.
- Complete delivery records and paperwork accurately, including the use of handheld devices where required.
Essential Experience
- Experience driving a 7.5 tonne (Category C1) vehicle.
- Experience in delivery driving, waste services, or a similar field (desirable).
- Experience working in a physically demanding role.
Essential Qualifications
- Valid UK driving licence with Category C1 (7.5 tonne entitlement).
- Valid Driver CPC (DQC card).
- Digital tachograph card.
- Good understanding of driving regulations and road safety.
