The Short Breaks Coordinator is tasked with overseeing the strategic and operational delivery of short breaks services for disabled children and young people. This role is crucial in ensuring that services are of high quality, equitable, financially sustainable, and compliant with contractual and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, development, and continuous improvement of short breaks services.
  • Ensure services are accessible, equitable, and responsive to the needs of disabled children and their families.
  • Monitor service usage, trends, and feedback to inform improvements and future service design.
  • Promote service user engagement and ensure feedback is used in decision-making.

Requirements:

Essential Experience Required:

  • Experience working with disabled children, young people, or family services.
  • Experience in contract management, commissioning, or service monitoring.
  • Experience managing budgets and financial reporting.
  • Proven experience in project management or service development.
  • Experience of line managing or supervising staff.

Essential Qualifications Required:

  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Relevant experience in children’s services, social care, education, or related sectors.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance required.
  • Ability to attend occasional evening or out-of-hours meetings.
