- The Childrenâ s Centre Early Years Teacher is a 6-7-month contract role with a local authority, focused on delivering high-quality care and education for children from birth to 5 years. This position is crucial for the effective development and implementation of the Early Years curriculum, adhering to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) standards. The role plays a significant part in fostering a nurturing and educational environment for young children.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the Early Years curriculum in accordance with the EYFS Framework.
- Lead the planning of engaging and age-appropriate learning activities for children aged 0â 5.
- Monitor and evaluate curriculum delivery to ensure consistently high-quality practice.
- Promote the importance of play in childrenâ s learning, both indoors and outdoors.
- Assess, observe, and track childrenâ s progress, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Use assessment outcomes to inform future planning and individual learning strategies.
- Ensure children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) have full access to the curriculum.
- Support children subject to child protection plans in line with legislation and policies.
Requirements
Requirements
- Proven experience teaching children aged 3â 5 years.
- Experience working with children aged birth to 3 years (desirable).
- Experience within non-school or integrated early years settings (desirable).
- Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) â essential.
- Relevant teaching qualification with a focus on Early Years.
