3-Month Contract with a Local Authority
This role supports the successful implementation, administration, and ongoing management of the borough’s new Selective Licensing Scheme, launching in January 2026. The position ensures landlords and managing agents comply with legal requirements under the Housing Act 2004 and plays a key role in improving housing conditions, ensuring residents live in safe, secure, and well-managed homes.
Responsibilities- Assess, process, and determine licence applications in accordance with housing and property licensing legislation, including the Housing Act 2004.
- Manage an active caseload, ensuring all applications, queries, and enforcement actions are completed within statutory timelines.
- Maintain accurate digital records, case notes, and documentation in line with service requirements.
- Use digital systems, databases, and reporting tools to track progress, analyze data, and produce performance reports.
- Working within housing, environmental health, property licensing, or a related regulatory or compliance field.
- Managing caseloads and working to statutory or service deadlines.
- Interpreting legislation, policy, or regulatory frameworks.
- Housing, regulation, environmental health, or property-related training or qualifications (e.g., HHSRS, property licensing modules, landlord accreditation knowledge).
