Job Purpose: To support the External Funding Team and the wider Programme Management Service in the design, development, commissioning and delivery of externally funded projects and programmes that contribute to economic growth and corporate priorities. The post holder will play a key role in securing, managing, promoting and monitoring external funding, including delivery of the Crowdfund Walsall Programme.
Key Duties/Accountabilities:
- Act as an initial point of contact for the External Funding Team and Crowdfund Walsall Programme, responding to enquiries via telephone, email, website and social media.
- Research and identify potential sources of external funding, gathering intelligence on eligibility, criteria and deadlines, and presenting opportunities to Council staff and stakeholders.
- Support the implementation of the Council’s External Funding Strategy through partnership development, project design and advisory support.
- Provide expert advice to Council officers to ensure funding bids comply with funder requirements and the Council’s grants manual and governance arrangements.
Essential Experience Required:
- Experience of developing or supporting externally funded projects or programmes.
- Experience of project management, including monitoring outputs, outcomes and budgets.
- Experience contributing to or submitting external funding applications.
- Experience delivering marketing and communication activity, including presentations, events and digital engagement.
Essential Qualifications Required:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
Additional information to note:
- Working Hours: 37 hours per week. Hybrid, 3 days working from home, 2 days in the office.
