12 Month Contract With A Local Authority to deliver a comprehensive environmental health service by investigating complaints, conducting inspections, enforcing relevant legislation, and providing specialist advice. The role supports the Council's objectives to maintain a clean, green, and safe environment across the Borough.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate complaints, nuisances, accidents, and environmental health matters.
- Carry out inspections and surveys across areas such as food safety, pollution, housing, health and safety, environmental crime, and anti-social behaviour.
- Take appropriate enforcement action to ensure compliance with statutory duties and Council policies.
- Provide advice and guidance to the public, external agencies, and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and statistical data using relevant systems.
- Collect and manage data submissions to external and government bodies where required.
- Prepare evidence for legal proceedings and represent the Council in court, tribunals, or hearings.
- Liaise and collaborate with external partners including local authorities, police, fire services, and government agencies.
- Contribute to planning, licensing consultations, and strategic service initiatives.
- Support health promotion initiatives, campaigns, and educational programmes.
- Ensure compliance with Health.
