The Employment Specialist will play a pivotal role in the Trailblazer Programme, aimed at assisting economically inactive residents of Bromley in securing and maintaining meaningful employment. This position is crucial in providing personalized employment support, vocational coaching, job brokerage, and in-work assistance to individuals facing various employment barriers, such as health conditions, disabilities, caregiving responsibilities, and long-term unemployment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver tailored one-to-one employment support to programme participants, assisting them in identifying career goals and overcoming employment barriers.
  • Complete vocational assessments, employment action plans, and support plans to enhance employability and job readiness.
  • Provide practical job search support, including CV development, application assistance, interview preparation, and job matching.
  • Manage an active caseload, maintaining accurate records and ensuring effective monitoring and documentation of participant progress.

Requirements

Essential Experience Required

  • Experience in providing employment support, vocational coaching, or employability services.
  • Experience supporting individuals with complex barriers to employment, including health conditions, disabilities, or long-term unemployment.

Essential Qualifications Required

  • Degree, diploma, or relevant professional qualification in Employment Services, Careers Guidance, Education, Social Care, Community Development, Psychology, Health, or a related discipline; or significant equivalent experience in employment support, vocational rehabilitation, supported employment, employability, or direct support services.

  • Working hours: 35 hours per week.
