Job Purpose
As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment across a busy school setting. You will clean classrooms, offices, toilets, changing rooms, and communal areas to ensure high standards of cleanliness are maintained for staff and students.
Key Duties/Accountabilities
- Clean classrooms and teaching areas.
- Clean toilets and washroom facilities.
- Clean offices and administration areas.
- Clean changing rooms and communal spaces.
- Vacuum carpets and floors.
- Mop and sanitise floors.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Dust and sanitise surfaces.
- Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely.
- Follow Health & Safety procedures and cleaning standards.
- Maintain a clean and welcoming school environment.
Essential Experience Required
- Previous cleaning experience.
- Experience working in schools, offices, or commercial cleaning environments is desirable.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Good understanding of cleaning and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
Essential Qualifications Required
- Enhanced DBS (required).
- Right to Work in the UK.
Additional Information to Note
- Working Hours: 20 hours per week.
- Monday to Friday.
- Shift Pattern: 15:00 β 19:00.
- Location: Saint Benedict Catholic Voluntary Academy, Derby.
- Reason for Hire: Vacant Post Cover.
- Enhanced DBS with Barred List required.
- School cleaning environment.
- Supplier Submission Deadline: 01th October 2026.
- We work on bi-weekly payment schedule.
