We are seeking a dedicated Payroll, Pensions, and HR Administrator to join our dynamic team on a 6-month contract. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, pension administration, and HR support. The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service to both council and school staff, working in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple tasks efficiently and contribute positively to team objectives.
Responsibilities
- Payroll Administration: Support payroll administration activities and process transactions accurately. Maintain payroll records and assist with payroll preparation. Ensure accurate data entry onto relevant systems.
- Pensions Administration: Support pension administration processes and maintain records. Assist with pension enquiries and ensure accurate information recording.
- HR Administration: Provide administrative support to HR processes. Maintain employee records and support HR system updates.
- Customer Service: Act as a contact point for payroll, pensions, and HR enquiries. Respond to enquiries professionally and handle sensitive queries confidentially.
- Data & Record Management: Maintain accurate records and ensure data protection compliance. Assist with data validation and information checks.
- Team Support: Collaborate with colleagues across Payroll, Pensions, and HR. Support service delivery during busy periods and contribute to team objectives.
Requirements
- Essential: Previous administrative experience in Payroll, HR, Pensions, Finance, or similar. Experience in a customer-focused role. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Experience handling confidential information. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Desirable: Experience in payroll, HR, or pension administration. Experience in Local Government, Education, or Public Sector environments. Familiarity with payroll or HR systems.
Working Arrangements
Office Location: Chichester. Contractually office-based with hybrid working available post-training. Regular office attendance required during training and IT system implementation.
