The Family Support Worker role within the Interventions Hub is a temporary 3-month position focused on supporting children, young people, and families through early intervention and preventative services.
The role is crucial in strengthening parenting capacity, improving outcomes for children, and preventing the need for higher-level statutory services.
The successful candidate will deliver targeted support and interventions to promote health, wellbeing, development, and resilience, enabling families to achieve sustainable positive change.
Responsibilities
- Family Support
- Deliver direct support and interventions to children, young people, and families.
- Build positive and effective relationships with families.
- Support parents to develop skills, confidence, and parenting capacity.
- Promote positive family relationships and reduce the risk of family breakdown.
- Early Intervention & Prevention
- Provide support at the earliest opportunity to prevent escalation of need.
