Summary
The Cleaner role is essential for maintaining high-quality cleaning operations across Somerset accommodation and halls. This position ensures a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors, supporting the effective maintenance of council properties while upholding high standards of hygiene and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning and Operational Duties
- Perform cleaning tasks according to standards set by the Cleaning Supervisor.
- Conduct general cleaning, including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Clean kitchen areas, toilets, and communal spaces to a high standard.
- Remove rubbish and recycling, following manual handling guidelines.
- Complete cleaning activities efficiently with minimal disruption.
- Perform cleaning tasks according to standards set by the Cleaning Supervisor.
- Team Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the building cleaning team and work independently as needed.
- Coordinate cleaning activities across designated sites per supervisor instructions.
- Maintain a polite, professional, and helpful demeanor with colleagues and building users.
