Summary
- This role involves providing essential administrative and customer support to the Waste Minimisation & Sustainability Team on a 6-month contract with a local authority. The position is crucial for the successful implementation of waste reduction, recycling, and sustainability initiatives throughout the district. The individual will serve as a primary contact for residents, community groups, and stakeholders, offering information, guidance, and support. Additionally, the role includes assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of public engagement campaigns, events, and environmental projects aimed at fostering sustainable practices.
Responsibilities
- Gather, organize, analyze, and maintain data related to waste minimisation and sustainability initiatives.
- Create reports and present data in a clear and accessible manner for management and stakeholders.
- Support the assessment and evaluation of projects, campaigns, and initiatives to determine their effectiveness and outcomes.
- Assist in maintaining performance records and contribute to service improvement efforts.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Experience in a dynamic office or administrative setting.
- Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service and managing public inquiries.
- GCSE level education (or equivalent), including English and Mathematics.
- Strong grasp of office administration processes and customer service principles.
- Proficiency in IT, particularly Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with data handling and record management practices.
Additional Information
- Working hours are 37 hours per week.
- The role requires on-site presence 5 days a week.
- Payment is processed on a bi-weekly schedule.
