The Role
As Business Development Manager, you will:
Business Growth & Sales
* Identify, develop, and secure new opportunities within adult complex care (CHC, private clients, case managers, local authorities).
* Build a robust pipeline of packages of care and high-value accounts.
* Lead on tenders, proposals, bids, and client presentations.
* Consistently achieve monthly and quarterly revenue and activity targets.
Relationship Management
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with ICBs, CHC teams, hospitals, case managers, and private referrers.
* Collaborate with internal clinical teams to ensure seamless mobilisation of new packages.
* Maintain excellent client satisfaction and long-term retention.
Market Strategy & Insight
* Monitor market trends, commissioning priorities, and competitor activity.
* Shape growth strategies to expand the organisation’s complex care presence.
* Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and key networking forums.
Collaboration & Internal Leadership
* Work closely with care coordinators, nurses, and recruitment teams to support service delivery.
* Provide commercial insight and strategic direction to internal stakeholders.
* Produce accurate weekly and monthly forecasts for senior leadership.
About You
Essential
* Proven success in business development within adult complex care, homecare, or clinical healthcare services.
* Strong understanding of CHC pathways, ICB structures, case management, and commissioning processes.
* Demonstrable experience winning and mobilising complex care packages.
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
* Commercially focused, self-motivated, and target-driven.
Desirable
