We are looking for an ambitious Reporter to join our Citywire Switzerland editorial team. This role is perfect for a journalist who thrives on tight deadlines and wants to make a mark in the world of wealth management and private banking. You will be responsible for producing timely, relevant, and eye‑catching news for our sophisticated audience of wealth managers and fund selectors. While based in London, your primary focus will be on the Swiss market, contributing high‑quality copy to our Swiss digital publications and website.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Write breaking news stories, compelling features, and in‑depth articles for Citywire Switzerland's digital publications.
  • Cover a wide range of financial topics, including independent asset managers, portfolio managers, fund management units, and banks.
  • Build and maintain a strong network of industry contacts within the Swiss financial community.
  • Actively contribute fresh ideas for the digital publications and the website.
  • Create and contribute to video, both in the Citywire Studio and on location.
  • Participate in Citywire Switzerland's reader events and attend other industry gatherings.
  • Produce content that engages the Swiss financial audience, while working to Citywire’s editorial standards.
  • Stay informed about financial markets, the economy, and emerging trends to provide timely, insightful reporting.

What we’re looking for:

  • Journalistic Experience: Proven experience writing news stories and features, ideally with a financial focus.
  • News Sense: Strong instinct for finding and reporting the biggest financial stories.
  • Financial Interest: Passion for financial markets and the economy, or a willingness to learn.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel regularly to meet with financial professionals in Switzerland.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in German and/or French is preferred.
