Year Group: EYFS, KS1 or KS2 depending upon experience

We are looking to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic and creative teaching assistant who can demonstrate a commitment to supporting pupils’ learning in a creative and caring environment. The person appointed will join a supportive and hard-working team and must be committed to supporting staff in their class, in their parallel class and phase. The successful candidate must have high standards and expectations of both themselves and for the children they support.

The Governors, staff and children at St. Paul’s CE Primary School are looking to appoint an excellent and hardworking teaching assistant. All children deserve the very best and we are looking for that professional person who has a passion for learning and supporting the learning of children and is committed to our school values. If you are talented and ambitious, possess a real flair for supporting the learning of children and would like to join our vibrant school then this is the job for you. The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience of working in a primary school setting
  • Be supportive of the learning in class with the ability to reflect on their own practice
  • Have a good understanding of how children learn
  • Have a secure understanding of behaviour and the importance of relationships
  • Be creative and can support the engagement of learning in the classroom
  • Be able to inspire and motivate children
  • Work in partnership with parents/carers and other members of staff to promote the well-being and educational progress of each pupil
  • Be an excellent and positive communicator with both children and adults
  • Work well within a team, contributing to the shared ethos and values of the school and partnership
