Community Greenways Programme Manager
Grade: 4b | Location: Hybrid | Contract: Fixed-term (2.5 years)

Salford City Council is looking for a strategic leader to manage Community Greenways: Urban Green Revival, an initiative delivered in partnership with Manchester City Council funded through Nature Towns and Cities collaboration between Natural England, the National Trust, and The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
As Programme Manager, you’ll oversee the delivery of this ambitious urban greening programme, lead cross-sector partnerships, and ensure meaningful community engagement. You’ll manage the project team, including the Community Partnership Coordinator, and work closely with Manchester City Council and other stakeholders to deliver lasting environmental and social impact.
We’re seeking someone with senior-level experience in environmental or community programmes, strong partnership-building skills, and a track record of securing and managing external funding.
