As a Contracts & Governance Coordinator you will make a powerful contribution to people across Westminster, working at the centre of strategic decision making, bringing together stakeholders, contract managers and service providers to facilitate strong governance, clear accountability and high standards of performance across the Council's Housing Directorate.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all stakeholders are appropriately represented and consulted in the strategic development of services, working across the full life‑cycle of projects to establish partnership working, effective communication and problem solving between the Council and contractors.
- Through proactive contract management and performance oversight, ensure compliance, mitigate risk and optimise value for money.
- Analyse performance data to monitor and improve contractor performance and identify issues and opportunities for development.
- Deliver projects with a focus on governance, risk management and service improvement, collaborating with colleagues to identify and address issues and opportunities.
Qualifications
- Established professional with knowledge of legislation relevant to social housing, procurement and local governance frameworks.
- Strong understanding of housing management, compliance and resident engagement.
- Proven experience managing and delivering projects with a focus on governance, risk management and service improvement.
- Experience analysing performance data to monitor and improve contractor performance.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Organised, proactive and able to remain calm under pressure.
