As a Digital Functional Skills Tutor in our Adult Education Service, you will help adults build digital skills and confidence to thrive in a digital‑first world. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities include preparing course outlines, lesson plans, coordinating resources and materials, and delivering learner‑centred teaching to support learners completing Entry Level 3, Level 1 and Level 2 Digital Functional Skills courses. The role is part‑time and may involve evenings and Saturdays.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver high‑quality lessons for diverse adult learners.
- Create and maintain lesson plans, resources and assessment materials.
- Use online e‑portfolio systems for assessing and quality‑assessing work.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support learner progress and foster a learner‑first environment.
Qualifications
- Taught adults face‑to‑face or online.
- Teaching qualification at Level 3 or above.
- IT and Digital qualification at Level 3 or above.
- Knowledge of Essential digital skills and digital literacy, Microsoft 365, cybersecurity and online safety.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, classroom management and teamwork skills.
