Operations Controller (Transport Controller OOH) at CitySprint. The role focuses on managing all day-to-day courier resources to maximise efficiencies across the network, adhering to customer SLAs and Health & Safety Parameters. Support the Out of Hours Senior Controller to create a KPI-driven environment based on service and revenue.

Role: Operations Controller | Out of Hours | Permanent
Salary: Β£26,231.83
Location: Letchworth
Hours: Saturday & Sunday shifts between 07:00 and 20:00, including all bank holidays

Responsibilities
- Manage all bookings and allocate resources in line with SLAβs and network optimisation rules
- Direct communications regarding designated courier workload in a courteous and efficient manner
- Proactively manage and resolve direct customer, courier and control queries by coordinating with other departments
- Optimise courier resources across the national network
- Support onboarding of couriers, ensuring compliance with business regulations and a professional image
- Monitor courier performance and initiate action where service or behaviour is not acceptable
- Maintain paperwork and systems efficiently and accurately per business requirements
- Support site housekeeping in line with Health and Safety requirements
Qualifications & Skills
- Ability to reprioritise tasks/workload in a busy, time-sensitive environment
- Understanding of business patterns and planning for peak periods
- Experience in an Operational or Customer Service environment
- Working knowledge of in-house systems (e.g., CityTrak and X-Despatch)
- Basic computer skills β Microsoft Office suite
- Understanding of OOH KPIs and how to positively influence success
- Strong customer orientation and relationship-building skills
