We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager in Bristol to support the management and delivery of commercial growth objectives across our business. You will manage all day-to-day courier resources to maximise efficiencies across the network while adhering to customer SLAs and Health and Safety parameters.
Main responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day resources within the Service Centre.
- Support the Service Centre Manager to contribute to the success of the Service Centre.
- Manage stakeholder relationships to ensure a positive commercial reputation.
- Develop a team of Operations Controllers/Coordinators through regular reviews.
- Ensure all in-house systems are updated accurately and timely.
- Monitor operational costs and resource allocation for revenue optimisation.
- Communicate regarding designated courier workload courteously and efficiently.
- Support growth by liaising with Account Management and Sales teams.
Skills needed:
- Full understanding of Service Centre operational processes.
- Working knowledge of systems including CityTrak and X-Despatch 3.
- Ability to advise clients and colleagues of business-critical information.
- Ability to reprioritise tasks in a busy environment.
- Understanding of commercial targets and performance.
- Ability to deputise for the Service Centre Manager as required.
- Strong customer orientation and relationship building.
- Understanding of Service Centre KPIs & SLAs.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a DBS check as part of the recruitment process. Conditional job offers are subject to a satisfactory DBS check.
