What will I be doing?
As Regional Sales Manager, you will support the Head of Territory Sales in driving commercial growth. You will lead and coach regional Territory Managers to meet revenue and profit targets, focusing on portfolio performance and new business. Through regular 1:1s and KPI reviews, you will ensure consistent results and act as an escalation point for customer issues and new opportunities. You will collaborate with operational teams to ensure exceptional customer success, in line with SLAs, and contribute to the Commercial Team by leading key projects as needed.
As Regional Sales Manager, you will have full responsibility for the retention, revenue, and margin performance of your team’s customer portfolio, fostering a partnership approach and ensuring a shared strategy for success. You will ensure your Territory Managers consistently present winning proposals and manage customers through the full tender process. By positively influencing your team, you will support the growth of key accounts and strengthen local relationships. You will be accountable for your team’s success in meeting growth objectives and business SLAs within your designated area.
Skills needed for a Regional Sales Manager:
- Proven successful Account Management and revenue growth of customer portfolio with budgets of circa £1m to enable you to lead a winning team.
- Proven ability to successfully negotiate logistic contracts, alongside successful price increase negotiation techniques.
- Demonstrates superior cross functional knowledge of complex business environments and uses judgment to effect positive change.
- Ability to effectively negotiate and collaborate with others to reach mutually agreeable outcomes through actively listening.
- Proactively manages, supports and mentors team to develop a strong, passionate and successful function through effective delegation, performance management and proactive communication.
- Ability to identify key data sources and analyse data effectively to improve operational and margin performance or to support business decisions.
- Proven success in client implementation programmes and client exit management preserving a positive corporate reputation.
- Demonstrate success within high-net worth marketplaces.
- Previous experience of successful team management through mentoring and development.
