The role
We’re looking for a results–driven Business Development Manager to identify and secure new, industry–specific business opportunities with an annual spend of £150k+. You’ll play a key role in driving growth by building strong customer relationships, developing market strategies, and securing high–value logistics partnerships. This is a strategic, commercially focused role, working closely with internal teams to deliver sustainable business growth.

What you’ll do
- Identify and secure new business opportunities with annual spends of £150k+
- Develop and deliver business development strategies aligned to company objectives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients
- Drive revenue growth through targeted outreach, negotiation and closing high–value deals
- Research market trends, competitor activity and growth opportunities
- Represent CitySprint at industry events, conferences and networking events
- Prepare and present compelling proposals and solutions to senior decision–makers
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Product and wider teams to support growth
- Provide regular reporting on pipeline, activity and market insights to senior leaders
- Manage business development projects from initiation to delivery
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience winning and developing high–value B2B/SME business (£150k+ accounts)
- Strong negotiation and closing skills within logistics or service–led environments
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop long–term growth plans
- Excellent relationship–building and stakeholder management skills
- Commercially astute with strong understanding of financial and margin impact
- Confident presenter, able to engage senior leaders and boards
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast–paced environment
- Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated success delivering revenue and margin growth aligned to strategy
