Location: 6 months contract

Salary: 24,279

Shifts: 25 hours

Hours: 4 on 4 off shift pattern working 23.00 to 08.00

We are looking for an Operations Coordinator who enjoys coordinating the activities and efforts of teams to ensure a streamlined and efficient operation, resulting in excellent service for our customers and colleagues.

Main responsibilities:

  • Answer phone lines promptly and professionally.
  • Arrange relevant collections, transit routes and deliveries.
  • Input event tracking for all bookings and in-transit consignments taken.
  • Liaise with both Operations departments and Imports to ensure imports arrive back in line with correct SLA.
  • Provide the Customer with updates on all exceptions or issues.
  • Request and enter all POD’s from relevant agents.
  • Report all discrepancies to Managers.
  • Provide quotes when requested to the relevant Customer.
  • Monitor the emails for the Service Centre.
  • Work with suppliers to deliver a seamless, high-quality Customer Experience.

Ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Experience in supporting the control with dispatching or allocating vehicles.
  • Respect towards people under all circumstances.
  • Prompt and appropriate responses to customer and supplier needs.
  • Ability to ensure all jobs are collected and delivered within agreed timescales.
  • Proactivity in suggesting improvements to service delivery.
  • Skilled listening and empathy towards Customers.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work with minimum supervision.
