What will I be doing?
You will support the Head of Same Day Operations to deliver a ‘Best in Business’, ‘Operational Excellence’ and ‘Partner of Choice’ business unit/region while delivering all financial, commercial and people targets. You will own the operational and commercial success of your Service Centre by creating an environment that champions customer experience through continuous improvement and innovation.
Main responsibilities:
- Lead, manage and inspire within your Service Centre.
- Deliver all business key strategic objectives and continued growth of your site's revenue and profits.
- Support in the delivery of business goals, growth, SLA and GM performance.
- Manage and engage couriers by implementing the business's strategic approach to courier management.
- Ensure all Service Centres are safe, compliant and achieve internal standards.
Skills needed for a General Manager:
- Previous success of managing a site/regional P&A to increase EBITDA, revenue and margin growth.
- Experience of identifying and targeting new opportunities for growth.
- Proficiency in creating, analysing and disseminating operational reports.
- Strong relationship management with customers and teams.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Effective time management skills.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a DBS check as part of the recruitment process. Conditional job offers are subject to a satisfactory DBS check.
