Our client is an award winning remediation contractor who offers practical solutions for brownfield regeneration and contaminated land problems. By using their extensive in-house experience, they aim to provide an unrivalled service tailored to their client’s individual needs. To date, our client has successfully completed technical projects throughout the South of England for local authorities, residential and commercial developers, main contractors and consultants either in the role of principal contractor or subcontractor which range from small spills through to large multi-technology soil and groundwater remediation / development platform preparation on brownfield sites.
About the opportunity:
As part of my client’s ongoing expansion and confirmed future workload, they have identified the need to recruit a permanent Remediation Engineer to assist with the technical delivery of remediation projects.
As a Remediation Engineer, your role will involve a mix of both office and site based working. You will be responsible for:
- Assisting with the production of remediation strategies, materials management plans, method statements and risk assessments
- Monitoring environmental emissions
- Supervising site activities such as excavations
- Setting up and maintaining soil and water treatment systems
- Carrying out verification contamination sampling
- Arranging laboratory and site geotechnical / earthworks testing
- Ensuring site records are up to date
- Overseeing and tracking material movements
