Our client is a Tier One Main Contractor who is currently operating with a turnover of £20 billion, across the whole group and £100M in the UK. They have offices worldwide; in the UK, their head office is based in the West Country and they have local depots based in London, the West Midlands, and Yorkshire. Their overall specialism in the UK is large Civil Engineering and infrastructure projects, across rail, tunnelling, highways, and bridges. They have worked on large schemes such as Crossrail (Tunnelling & Station upgrades), London Power Tunnels, M4 improvement schemes, Queensferry Crossing & Tottenham Hale Station.
Due to successful company expansion, my client is recruiting permanently for a Bid Coordinator to join their team. Reporting to the Head of Submissions, as a Bid Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the achievement of business plans targets and objectives through the identification of suitable contract opportunities and the subsequent preparation and production of PQQ and Tender submissions in line with agreed deadlines. You will ensure all tender documentation is presented to a uniformly high standard, editing and proofreading submission documents as well as deputising for the document controller.
For this permanent opportunity, my client is targeting professionals looking to earn anywhere from £35,000 - £40,000 per annum however there may be flexibility on this as the specific salary will depend on experience and suitability. Furthermore, there will be a generous package on offer which includes private health care, 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) and an 8% employer pension contribution. Lastly, you’ll be put through relevant training and progression plans will be put in place so you have a streamlined development plan for the future.
In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must have a background in construction (ideally holding previous experience of working on large scale civil engineering submissions) and skills in Adobe InDesign. Furthermore, you must be competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and have the ability to multi-task and manage a diverse workload. Please note, as this is an office based opportunity, you must reside within commutable distance from their office in Swindon, Wiltshire and no hybrid working is available.
