A well-established and growing main contractor is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team, delivering a range of high-profile new build, refurbishment, residential, commercial, healthcare, and mixed-use projects across London and the South East. Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing project costs from pre-construction through to final account
  • Preparing valuations, variations, cost reports, and subcontractor payments
  • Supporting procurement and subcontract package management
  • Monitoring project budgets and ensuring commercial targets are achieved
  • Working closely with site and operational teams throughout project delivery
  • Managing client and subcontractor relationships
  • Identifying and mitigating commercial risks across projects

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within main contracting
  • Experience delivering new build and refurbishment projects
  • Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work independently
  • Degree qualified or relevant construction qualification preferred
