Site Manager – Concrete Frame Location: Hackney, London Salary: £65,000 Sector: Main Contracting / Residential / New Build About the Role Our client is an established and growing main contractor delivering high-quality residential and commercial developments across London and the surrounding areas. With a strong reputation for quality, safety and delivering complex construction projects, our client is now looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to join their team on a new project in Hackney. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Site Manager with a strong concrete frame / reinforced concrete background who is looking to take ownership of a significant London project and work within an experienced delivery team. Key Responsibilities Taking responsibility for the day-to-day management of the site. Managing and coordinating subcontractors and site operatives. Overseeing the construction programme and ensuring works remain on schedule. Managing concrete frame and reinforced concrete works from commencement through to completion. Coordinating groundworks, RC frame, structural and follow-on trades. Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and programme requirements. Managing site logistics and coordinating deliveries. Monitoring workmanship and maintaining high standards of quality. Carrying out regular site inspections and quality checks. Ensuring all works comply with current Health & Safety legislation. Conducting toolbox talks, inductions and site briefings. Maintaining accurate site records and documentation. Working closely with the Project Manager and wider site team. Liaising with consultants, clients and subcontractors. Identifying and resolving technical and construction issues. Monitoring progress against programme and reporting any delays. Coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors effectively. Managing snagging and ensuring works are completed to the required standard. Supporting the commercial team with variations and progress information where required. Ensuring materials, plant and labour are available when required. Maintaining a clean, safe and well-organised site. Driving a positive health, safety and quality culture across the project. About You Proven experience as a Site Manager within main contracting. Must have strong concrete frame / reinforced concrete experience. Experience working on residential or commercial new-build projects. Strong understanding of RC frame construction, sequencing and associated trades. Good knowledge of construction methods, materials and site logistics. Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Excellent subcontractor and workforce management skills. Strong communication and organisational abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced site environment. SMSTS is essential. CSCS Black or Gold Card preferred. First Aid qualification desirable. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality. Confident working independently while also contributing to a wider project team. What's on Offer £65,000 – £75,000 salary, depending on experience. Competitive benefits package.
