We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Accounts Administrator to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous accounts administration experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, efficient financial support.
Working alongside our finance team, you will play an important role in the day-to-day administration of company accounts, helping to ensure the smooth running of financial processes across a busy construction business.
Key Responsibilities- Processing purchase invoices and supplier statements.
- Raising sales invoices and assisting with credit control.
- Matching purchase orders, delivery notes and invoices.
- Preparing payment runs for approval.
- Reconciling bank accounts and supplier accounts.
- Assisting with monthly accounts and financial reporting.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and filing systems.
- Responding to supplier and customer queries in a professional manner.
- Supporting payroll administration where required.
- Assisting with general office administration and finance-related tasks.
- Ensuring all work is completed accurately and in line with company procedures.
- Previous experience in an Accounts Administrator, Finance Assistant or Purchase Ledger role.
- Excellent numerical and organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience using accounting software such as Sage, Xero or similar.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
- A proactive and positive approach with a willingness to support the wider team.
- Experience within the construction industry is desirable but not essential.
