With an exciting pipeline of developments and a strong focus on design, quality and customer experience, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Technical Manager to strengthen their growing technical team. The Role
- As Technical Manager, you will take ownership of the technical function across multiple residential developments, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, compliantly and to programme.
- You will work closely with land, planning, commercial and construction teams to manage the design and technical process from pre-construction through to completion.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the technical delivery of residential developments from acquisition through to handover.
- Coordinate and manage external consultants including architects, engineers and specialist designers.
- Review and manage technical information, drawings and specifications.
- Drive programme delivery and ensure design information is issued in line with build requirements.
- Support planning applications and discharge of planning conditions.
- Ensure developments meet all statutory approvals and regulatory requirements.
- Manage building regulations, NHBC requirements and utility approvals.
- Identify design risks and implement practical solutions.
- Work collaboratively with construction teams to ensure buildability and programme objectives are achieved.
- Attend internal and external project meetings and report on progress.
About You
- Previous experience within a Technical Manager or Senior Technical Coordinator position.
- Experience working for a residential developer / housebuilder.
- Strong understanding of residential construction, planning and technical delivery.
- Knowledge of UK Building Regulations, NHBC and current legislation.
- Experience managing consultants and coordinating design teams.
- Commercial awareness and a practical approach to problem solving.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant construction, architectural or technical qualification preferred.
