As a Mechanical Estimator you’ll join a rapidly expanding division with the opportunity to mentor and grow your team. You’ll work closely with the commercial team and directors reviewing and submitting tenders for large scale M&E packages on residential developments. Established over five years ago, this M&E contractor has experienced rapid success and growth and is now expanding the team with the addition of a Mechanical Estimator. This is an office-based role where you’ll play a pivotal part in moving into leadership, mentoring and expanding the team while directly influencing the company’s growth plans. It’s a prime time to join, make a real impact and be recognised as a key and valued member of the business.
Your role as a mechanical estimator will include:
- Oversee and ensure timely and accurate submission of tenders for large-scale M&E packages on residential developments
- Update and advise the commercial team and clients on design changes, providing insight on potential cost or programme impacts
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing and new suppliers to secure competitive pricing and best value
- Collaborate with the commercial team to develop accurate cost plans, pricing strategies, and bid submissions
- Mentor and support junior estimators, fostering team growth and knowledge sharing
You will need:
- Proven experience working for an M&E Contractor in an estimating role
- Commutable to the office full time and happy to travel to sites on an as and when needed basis
- Looking to progress your career to a leadership position
